Garcia "Joy" Ciesla

Garcia “Joy” Welsh Ciesla, 77, was called home to our Lord surrounded by her loving family on February 12th, 2022.  Joy is preceded in death by her father Kenneth F. Welsh, mother Gladys G. Panettiere and her son Anthony Ciesla Jr.

Joy is survived by her daughters Yvonne Ciesla of Savannah, GA, Lisa Ciesla of Austin, TX., sons Kenneth Ciesla of Wallington, NJ and Robert Ciesla and wife Rhonda Ciesla of Phillipsburg NJ. 9 amazing Grandchildren Krystal, Samantha, Randy, Nick, Catherine, Allison, Sophia, Aubrey, and Aiden.

Joy was a graduate of Somerville High School Class of 1962.  She retired from AT&T, where she made many close friends.

Joy was a compassionate and dedicated animal lover and was devoted to her cats Lilly, Bella, Max and Oreo to name a few. Joy had many interests and talents. She was an artist with the yarn and crocheted many gifts for family & friends. She also enjoyed performing Polynesian dancing and won awards. Joy loved spending time with her family, loved family vacations and celebrating birthdays and Holidays. She loved going to concerts and watch her sons perform music together.  Her favorite local band is Bound Alive in which her son Robert is a part of.  Joy loved to play bingo, go to movies and dine out with family and friends. She was an avid Elvis fan and a hippy at heart.

Joy will be missed by many. May you forever hold her memory in your heart and let it bring you Joy.

A visitation will take place on Monday February 21, 2022, between the hours of 3:00pm and 7:00pm at the funeral home of Cuoco Funeral and Cremation Services 10 West End Avenue Somerville NJ tele 908-707-2058.  On Tuesday February 22, 2022, family and friends will gather at the funeral home between 12:00pm and 1:00pm for a visitation.   At 1:00pm Pastor Chris Bridge will conduct a service which will be livestreamed through the Cuoco Funeral and Cremation Services website www.Cuocofuneralandcremation.com  Following the service Joy will be buried in her family plot at the Cedar Grove Cemetery 1823 Amwell Road Somerset, NJ.
